This course will be suitable if you are in employment or looking to develop skills and the knowledge qualification required for aircraft maintenance engineering. The course also covers the modules of the EASA pt 66 Certifying Staff Maintenance for A, B1 and B2 categories and further modules required for the award of the Foundation Degree. The course has the following structure:

Level 1: Engineering Mathematics 1, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Science 1, Engineering Design 1, Aerodynamics & Propulsion Principles, Electronic Principles & Digital Technique

Level 2: Engineering Techniques & Tools, Engineering Project (Manufacture), Aircraft Propulsion Technology, Aircraft Legislation & Business, Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Maintenance & Structures

These 2 year full time or 3-4 year part time degrees contain a common core of engineering, maths and science units, along with more specialist units directly applicable to your chosen route.  The course brings together learning in college and the workplace, to deliver the knowledge and skills needed in local engineering employment markets.  It provides both the basic theoretical knowledge in science and engineering and the opportunity to apply this knowledge in the work environment.
